The Airshow Guy

This show as a very pleasant surprise. I have not attended a small show in a number of years. I really had no idea what to expect, and frankly, I had very little expectation. The crowd was comfortable in size, the show was not commercial, and the aircraft were plentiful. Unlike some of the other shows, you could get up close and personal with the aircraft and pilots. The show had the entertainment value of a large show, with the charm of a small town.

Waarbird aircraft included: 2 - P-51 Mustangs, A-37 Dragonfly, T-33 Shooting Star, F4F Wildcat, T-28C Trojan, B-25 Mitchell, Vultee Valiant, and numerous T-6 Texans. The Army National Guard provided a UH-60 Blackhawk medevac demonstation. Gene Soucy performed a solo routine and later returned with Teresa Stokes to perform their wingwalking routine. The Texans performed formation flying, and some later returned to simulate an air race. After several short hours, the show came to an end, but it was a wonderful day spent.

Hopefully the community will offer a show in 2008!
