NAS Oceana is one of my most anticipated and favorite shows to attend. 2007 was no exception, although it would be the first year without my beloved F-14 Tomcats. I brought my Dad along to show him what all the fuss was about. The Navy put on an impressive display with their F/A-18 Hornets, including the Blue Angels flight demonstration team. The USAF brought in their F-22 Raptor, F-15E Strike Eagle, and the F-117 Nighthawk. The civilian performers were also a virtual "A-list" of aviation celebrities including Skip Stewart, Ed Shipley and Dale Snodgrass.
The event did not disaappoint, and neither did any of the performers. Sunday's weather did prevent the performance of several acts, but later cleared and allowed the show to conclude on a high note.
