This was a great show. I was not sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. It seemed that the attendance was low, but the attractions were well worth it!
The proximity to the airfield was impressive, as were the lighting conditions. I enjoyed visiting, but was ready to go home. It was VERY hot that day, and I had plenty of driving to do.
I went to the show with my good friend and air show colleague Steve Lewis, "FAR148". Check out his work also... probably puts mine to shame!
We both noticed that the Thunderbird aircraft were all lined up and no one was even looking at them. We boogied right over there and got the lenses out. I tried the cross screen on them.
There was an ultra-rare demo... a medivac UH-60 Blackhawk.
And a MIG-17 "Fresco"
This was a rare show in that 3 of the 4 piston powered World War II Grumman Cats were there. F4F, F6F, F8F.
F4F Wildcat
F6F Hellcat
F8F Bearcat
F4U Corsair
F-18C Hornet
